Mechanical Simplicity & Reliability:
No Pneumatics Required: Eliminates the need for an air compressor, air lines, filters, and regulators. This reduces initial cost, maintenance, and points of failure.
Robust Design: The mechanism is typically built with heavy-duty links and bearings, designed for thousands of cycles with minimal wear.
Fast Unloading Action:
The process is literal and quick: the operator pulls a single lever (or sometimes two synchronized levers). This action mechanically retracts the locking segments of the mandrel, instantly releasing the coiled strap and its core.
The coil is then removed via hoist or conveyor, a new core is slid on, and the lever is pushed back to expand the mandrel and lock the core in place.
Non-Marking for Blued Strap:
As critical as the unloading mechanism, the mandrel segments and all guide rollers must be coated with a soft material like urethane or nylon to prevent scratching or marring the blued finish.

| Specification | For 19 mm & 32 mm Strap | Critical Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Machine Type | Single Mandrel Recoiler | Must be designed for easy operator access to the lever. |
| Unloading Mechanism | Lever-Actuated Collapsible Mandrel | This is your key requirement. Specify heavy-duty construction. |
| Strap Width Range | 19 mm to 32 mm | Can one machine handle both? Or do you need dedicated widths? |
| Strap Thickness (Gauge) | e.g., 0.5 mm - 1.2 mm | You must specify. This determines motor torque and structural strength. |
| Max. Coil Weight (kg) | e.g., 500 kg / 1000 kg | You must specify. Impacts frame and mandrel strength. |
| Coil Core (ID) | e.g., 508 mm (20") or 305 mm (12") | Standard, but confirm your internal spool size. |
| Max. Coil OD | e.g., 1200 mm / 1500 mm | You must specify. Determines machine footprint. |
| Line Speed (m/min) | e.g., 30 - 80 m/min | The required winding speed. Sizes the motor. |
